Realised in the middle of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain landscape in a former medieval Jesuit retreat, at the bottom of a hermit cave, on top of a steep hill that is difficult to access, the piece was created as part of a liquid immersion of the landscape. Climbing the hill, with no open path, in high summer temperatures, every day during the residency became a path of pilgrimage and introspection to the prehistoric cave. Listening to the sounds of the landscape, recording the ascent every day, began to materialise into an auditory memory of the space. Drawing inspiration from the legends of the cave as old as the mountain having been a place of Jesuit hermits, it was a sacralised space for containing a miraculous water source that cured incurable diseases. Video projections and sound installations across the city’s façades combine reality with the captured essence of the surroundings to create a unique atmosphere. Each projection replicates a specific point in time, providing an immersive experience that combines reality, memories and emotions. Artistic creation meets city heritage, turning façades into vibrant canvases filled with visual and acoustic narratives. This nocturnal initiative redefines the urban experience, providing a new perspective for residents and visitors alike. By exploring the links between sound, imagery and interactive technology, this project involves the audience in the story of the city using a Kinect camera. Interactivity generates an emotional connection, prompting reflection on urban history, culture and identity. These scattered nocturnal displays generate unexpected encounters, bringing to light the memories and ghosts of the city. “Scènes de Ville” bridges the gap between inside and outside, and between past and future. An invitation to reflect on the history, culture and identity of the city, all while exploring innovative ways of conceiving pleasurable experiences in the digital age. The project serves as a reminder that the city is far more than a physical structure. Indeed, it is a living entity shaped by the shared narratives of its inhabitants over time and space. A project co-produced by Chroniques, Biennale des Imaginaires Numériques, and 6MIC as part of the CHRONIQUES CRÉATIONS Platfor. between sound, space, and memory. Conceived as an immersive environment, the work invites visitors to enter a meditative state—an interior drift shaped by sonic textures, subtle lighting, and architectural fragments. Developed in collaboration with architect René Schäfer, the installation draws on the physicality of the Kunstverein space and its acoustic resonance to create a layered experience, one that evokes the sensation of wandering through submerged ruins or dreamlike landscapes. Sounds emerge and disappear like echoes of a forgotten world, inviting the visitor to slow down, listen closely, and inhabit the border between the visible and the concealed. Combining field recordings, composed soundscapes, and spatial interventions, Submerged Reverie reflects on water as both material and metaphor—an element of passage, of fluid memory, of immersion and loss. Drawing inspiration from Danish folklore, the work evokes legends of magical beings who enchant and lure with their sounds, blending organic soundscapes and mythical narratives, it transforms the exhibition space into a phantasmagoric realm where echoes of nature and myth converge. Through a collaborative exchange with Platform BUNKER and Sound Art Lab, Mons Tro immerses visitors in a fluid interplay between the physical and the intangible, captivating imagination and perception. By creating a fluid interplay between myth and environment, the installation transforms the exhibition space into an intangible, dreamlike realm where visitors are immersed in reflections, echoes, and an alluring interplay of sound and light. Mons Tro invites audiences to engage with the magical and the immaterial through sensible and strange narratives. Video Mapping for Mano x Alto Centre d’ArtsOllioules, France 2024 This project, a double monumental video mapping, has been created specifically for the opening of the MANO X ALTO Centre des Métiers d'Art d'Ollioules. The installation consists of two distinct parts: one large-scale video mapping on the exterior facade of the museum and a second, more intimate projection inside the old chapel, animating the ceiling. The video mappings explore the theme of metamorphosis, reflecting the evolution of the Centre d'Art from antiquity to the present day. The exterior facade is brought to life through living lines that unfold as though drawn in real time, revealing the architecture’s hidden stories and the passage of time. This creates an interplay between the physical building and its historical layers, bringing out the essence of what is usually unseen. In contrast, the interior chapel ceiling transforms into a living fresco, inspired by the 17th-century frescos that adorned the space. This smaller-scale mapping evokes a sense of intimacy and animation, making the fresco seem to come alive. Through video projections, the once-static characters and scenes painted on the ceiling begin to move, blending historical imagery with modern digital techniques. The result is a contrast between the fixed nature of painting and the fluid, evolving world of projection art. Creeping plants, symbols of enduring life, surround these silent sculptures. Whispers carried on the wind carry the sound of leaves, evoking approaching footsteps. Forgotten words echo like an immaterial presence. The statues seem to be trying to hear us, their voices frozen in time and oblivion. The “Echos Passés" sound installation is a two parts piece, creating an immersive experience between the garden of statues at the Monument à Joseph Sec and the sculpture hall of the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence.
